Sericanthe toupetou

Sericanthe toupetou is a rare medium-size tree found only in the wet-evergreen forests of Ghana and Ivory Coast. The species, once thought to be locally extinct, is classifies as endangered on the IUCN Redlist of species. It can grow to a height of 25m.

Tapura ivorensis

Reaching up to 30 meters in height, T. ivorensis has a straight, unbranched trunk. Its diameter ranges from 2 to 4.75 meters, and it is usually branchless for a large portion of its length. The bole is straight and crisp, sometimes fluted and frequently with little buttresses.

Aubregrinea taiensis

Aubregrinia taiensis is a large tall tree that can grow up to 45m tall. A. taiensis has a straight bole, almost cylindrical but slightly fluted at the base. The tree has low buttresses (Photo 2), rough bark with vertical fissures.
